New Year, fresh and clean new start!
Twas the week after Christmas, and all through the house
All that was heard was groans from each frustrated spouse
The home had been cleaned with a great deal of care
But was starting to show lots of stains, wear and tear…
Happy New Year! Christmas is now well and truly over: the leftovers have been eaten, the presents have been opened, and it’s time to make some New Year’s resolutions.
For many, the first resolution will be to deal with the aftermath of Christmas: the tidying, cleaning, stain removal and more that stem from a time of year that sees our homes filled with family, food and extra goodies associated with the festive season!
While guests, gifts and great food and drink are all welcome additions to the household at Christmas, they can also leave us with a headache afterwards when it comes to the clean-up operation. In all the excitement, it’s easy to knock a glass of red wine onto the sofa or to spill cranberry sauce on the carpet – so in order to cope, you send everyone out for a Boxing Day walk to expend some energy and give your house a break.
But when they come back, the dog and the children tread muddy footprints into your prized rugs, before opening a tin of Quality Street to regain a little energy – and sticky fingers and fabric sofas don’t mix either!
Add to the mix the soot stains from granddad trying to light a log fire, the spilling of your teenage daughter’s new nail varnish over her bedroom carpet and the mess that Father Christmas made when coming in to deliver presents, and it’s easy to decide that somebody else is hosting Christmas next year!

The last thing you want to be doing in January is spending money on replacing your carpets, re-upholstering your sofas or buying new rugs – so give us a call for a no-obligation quote, and find out how we can help!
