In 2008, Vladimir was living a comfortable life as an irrigation engineer. He had just been offered a job in London to help maintain some of the city’s most iconic green spaces. Excited for a fresh start, he handed in his resignation, packed up his dreams, and prepared to move with his wife, Marina—who was expecting their first child.

But then the world changed. The financial crisis hit, and just days before their departure, Vladimir received an email: the job offer was withdrawn. No position. No safety net.

With no job and a baby on the way, most would have turned back. But Vladimir and Marina pressed forward. They moved to London anyway, driven by hope and the belief that something better awaited.

Their first rented flat became an unlikely turning point. Before handing over the keys, they cleaned every corner with care and pride, wanting to leave a good impression. When the landlord arrived, he was speechless. “I’ve never seen a flat this clean,” he said. “You two should start a cleaning company.”

That moment sparked something.

With no background in business but strong IT skills, Vladimir stayed up late building a simple website. He named it “Cleaner Cleaner”—a name born from clarity and honesty.

It was slow at first. But one job led to another. Customers were amazed—not just by the results, but by the heart and integrity behind every service.

Vladimir founded Cleaner Cleaner Ltd in 2008 and oversees the company’s business development and day-to-day operations. He sets exceptionally high standards and is personally involved in every aspect of the business to ensure that all work is completed to the highest level of quality. In his spare time, Vladimir enjoys listening to books focused on personal growth and mindset, as well as watching the DOAC podcast, cycling, and boxing.

He now lives in Tiptree with his wife, Marina, and their two daughters, Emily and Sophia. He holds a degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Marketing and Brand Management from the University of Essex. Recently, he trained and qualified as a Carpet Faults Inspector. He is passionate about ongoing training and takes great pride in his certifications.

Marina co-founded Cleaner Cleaner Ltd with her husband, Vladimir, in 2008. She oversees the HR and accounts side of the business. A fitness enthusiast and avid reader, she enjoys unwinding at the end of a busy week with a glass of Pinot Grigio.
